Vegan Rainforest Chile -bio hack-

I made this chile after clearing out a massive amount of fresh oregano & blanching it. I needed something to do with the oregano and so I decided to make chile with it. I call it a bio hack for personal reasons of living in the back of Pauoa Valley in the only true microclimate 12B tropical rainforest on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, just outside downtown Honolulu.
Not for novice chile cooks, this is my "Mild Pauoa Valley Chile"
Recipe:  Rainforest Vegan Chili - Bio Hack -
  1. sunflower oil
  2. 1 diced Maui onion or vidalia onion
  3. 1/2 bulb garlic
  4. 4-5 cups of H20
  5. 1 lb puréed fresh blanched oregano
  6. 1 diced poblano pepper
  7. 1-2 diced Annaheim peppers
  8. 1 can tomato paste
  9. 1 large can tomato puree
  10. 1 box Vegan Boca Burger (you can sub out this for beans)
  11. 1-2 cups pinto beans (soaked)
  12. 1 -1.5 tsp cinnamon
  13. Frontier Fiesta Chile Pepper
  14. Paprika to taste
  15. 1-2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  16. 1 sliced or diced Red Bell pepper
  17. 1 sliced or diced Orange Bell pepper
  18. 2 Jalapeno peppers no seeds
  19. 1 lb of broccoli with stems ( can sub Cauliflower)
  20. 1 tsp. black pepper (grinder)
  21. 2-3 regular dried red chile peppers
  22. 1-2 sliced, diced fresh scorpion/strawberry Habeneros with seeds
  23. 1 tsp black Hawaiian sea salt
  24. Additional cinnamon to taste

This Chile sounds like it would set your mouth on fire with fresh scorpion peppers. Ironically, with the right amount of black sea salt added to the chile the finished hotness is actually mild. And, the taste is sweet & mellow with hints of cinnamon. It takes about 2.5 hrs to cook down on a low simmer in a big pot and is a vegan chile. Like most recipes start, caramelizing the onions and garlic with the oil with maybe a pinch of salt or a dash of Earth balance. then add The oregano will be the first set of herbal steam coming from the cooking pot. It should then be overwhelmed with additional ingredients topped with the strong cinnamon smell and left to stew for a bit. The peppers go in the pot in order of weakest to strongest capsicum level. Once the Scorpion peppers are searing my nose sitting on the top of the chile with steam rising, I add the black sea salt around them. Then I let the chile mixture stew a bit longer. If it's going to be eaten immediately.

Stretching felt Great!!!

This morning, I did a shoulder stretch on my chartreuse, roll-out, squishie mat @ the Gym floor. It felt great today!
Difference was I did the normal  shoulder stretch as follows;- laying face down with chin on the mat, either right arm or left arm crossed over sternum and pressed between body and the mat/floor. This time, I added an opposite leg lift off the floor until I felt my hips press securely against the mat. I actually felt my hips adjust into a relaxed position and it felt Great! Not sure if an instructor would agree as I've never been taught to stretch like this. It just felt right. My lower back and hips relaxed. Will add pic if someone can tell me what I did/doing.

Me, @ a gym on my orange,roll-out, squishie mat more than a few months ago...Go! Nitrimax in the cup.

May vegan Ketchup Cleanse

May 2016 Cleanse starting:-today. With Amla 4tablets on sale for $11.69+tax & a KeVita Lemon Cayenne $4. I'm waiting for my 7-14day Cleanz T Liv International supplement to arrive by the weekend with my regular alkaline minerals diet.

Long gone are the days I worked taking care of the produce and training even Carl Sagan's personal assistant at the time from Monterrey to do a volunteer shift each week at an coop back in 1997. Back then The Ultimate Meal was my fave supplement & meal (lasted over a decade & a half). The 5 gallon water containers that Eric Marcus hauled in to refill on his 30day master cleanse (cayenne, maple syrup, lemon, H20) while writing his Vegan the New Ethics of Eating book.
Today about 20years later I'm sitting in Hawaii. I ordered my Green2O and a cleanse. I was bad to myself and had been consuming Petafied Taco Bell vegan frugal noms. Though my wallet is a little fatter my stomach hurts, badly. I'm dying for a cleanse.

I ordered CleanzT yesterday ;- an untried by me Liv International product ringing in near $35@ distributor price. Also an arginine and vitamin C boost with a canister of  Go! @$65 distributor price, and $45 Green2o.

I picked up 1.5lbs of blanched almonds as I'm ditching my nutritionist's pea protein recommendation. Makes no sense to me that she said "no fruit, no grain, no mixed fruit, no soy" yet recommended a pea protein that is high in purines -bad for gout sensitive vegans. Starting to annoy me on my 2nd year with this diet.  I stopped taking digestive enzymes to break down any Uric acid buildup from the purine rich pea protein. And I sourced an almond based protein powder supplement made in Austria.
I hope I can get my hands on it in the USA. Sick of eating almonds.
Also coconut oil itself makes me sick to my stomach lately as does the Udo's oil supplements. The nuts and avo's are my only healthy oils source aside from this vegans normal (though reduced) bout of grain free French Fries, Tater Tots, Has Browns, Potatoes O'Brein (minus cheese) loaded with a tomato field worth of ketchup.
