Voting the Humane USA way

Today I went to the Polls. The new voting booths are in.... all electrical with buttons. No more ancient levers are there to pull. And, the volunteers seem to be very happy to show people how the booths work. The volunteer even stepped in the booth and pushed a bunch of buttons and then left. So I had to clear his inputs with my own. Talk about intent!!!

Because I'm a U.S. born citizen of 1st generation and 1/2 Japanese descent, I took more than 1.5 weeks researching my voting selections. And, then I visited my favorite PAC (political action committee) online; Humane USA. They have a list of Endorsements and you can see their questionairre if you visit the home page.

I voted according to their endorsed candidates. Not because they told me to. I was happy that after I researched my voting choices that they Matched up with Humane USA. Many considerations went into my voting for this 2006 election. Earlier in the week I read that Bob Casey (D) has been funding organizations and companies in N. Korea and other countries where there is terrorist activity. I couldn't vote for Casey due to the NY Times article I read about this. Additionally, I know my Obasan or Grandmother (as well as other family members up to 60+) in Japan is/are living in the N. Korean missile testing area.

The following from Humane USA political animal issue #15
PENNSYLVANIA: Ed Rendell (D). Gov. Rendell has been a leader in cracking down on Pennsylvania’s notorious “puppy mills.” He is appointing a state prosecutor charged with regulating the state’s 2,500 kennels, and is proposing legislative changes to strengthen penalties for abuse.

I realize that I am a minority in this state, and that there is still a horrid amount of racism that I and others experience. I can only put my trust in those who show compassion towards animals it seems. And, keep my future hope open to those who will show compassion and help futher fair Human rights treatment here in this State of Pennsylvania.

The following from Humane USA political animal issue #15

PENNSYLVANIA: Rick Santorum (R). Sen. Santorum is one of the Senate’s strongest champions for animals. He has consistently led efforts to increase funding for enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act, Humane Methods of Slaughter Act, and animal fighting law. He is also the author of legislation to crack down on abusive “puppy mills.”

About Primerica

So, In just a few short minutes I'm leaving for my Primerica orientation.
I met Justin. I met him at Starbucks, out here in the boonies. I'm there, at the Starbucks enough to know that Justin is there at least everyother day sharing the business plan with someone. Not dressed in a suit, he's dressed like a normal human being. I overheard his 3%, 6%, 12% talk and the law of 72. So, we talked for a couple of hours. He lent me a book called Coach and went on to talk about Primerica. How they sell Term Insurance. They're a hot new, young company and that companies like NY Life just keep taking money from Middle America.

So, I read some of the book. It's very American Apple pie like in it's content.
Good and wholesome approach to life. Justin warned me that I'd find enough bad stuff out there online searching for Primerica. I've only found some things between 2002-2006 that are vaguely coherent. So, off I go, another afternoon job hunting.
I wonder about the Term Life policies being sold; in theory every new family should have one to cover their new home until they are established.

Though, who knows. I don't understand these numbers on the Term Life.
I hope to find out more today.

Here are some links that I found helpful after my meeting today (see comments):

There is a mentality that is tired for the 21st century.
It is the mentality of people who have it easy in the States and do not know about Asia, or Japan aside from their war experiences and handed down stories. I have met some other Halvsie// hafu people who have the same experience that I have had. It is the complete rejection of Japanese culture and/or mindset and the farce that they create by saying that Japanese is not a language, that Japanese people are all bad, that people from Japan are all crazy as well as Japanese related kin. Here on the east coast, there are pockets of small town people who still try to shove their small town view upon people of Japanese descent. They particularly hate buddhism and related people; put up a front of "cultural & racial acceptance" when in the trenches here in the working world those same people are doing everything in their power to harm people of Japanese descent.

I think that this happens frequently in small towns because the people are afraid about money issues. So afraid to pay someone who wants to visit their Japanese family, or create a positive environment. Once the racial threshold is crossed partway by those of us who are Haafu, Americans seem to think they can slander and berate our Japanese heritage without having any offense taken. Or, they're just playing dumb racist. I'm not sure which it is. Though it's an amazing array of split personalities that the racist offenders put up so that they can pretend they're understanding.

One story I heard from CT is that they're trying to declare someone who is Buddhist as "clinically insane". This person happens to have an older child in her custody as well. I have experienced the same type of intolerant attitude from people in my community. These are the same people who host Asian exchange students and then throw them out on the street for not being Christian. The same type of people who allow their children to play military torture with their adopted Asian children while these wars and negotiations are taking place. It's not right.

There are better attitudes and efforts towards multi-cultural understanding. My father was in the U.S. military and my grandfather, and great grandfather, as well as uncles. My mother is from Japan, and though things aren't perfect there is still a higher level of cultural understanding and acceptance.

Liberals, Conservatives, & Media

I am writing from my uniquely halvsie, bi-racial perspective yet again. The last bout of negotiations with N. Korea and Bush's cabinet came under attack in a personal conversation I had with a national media person. He really didn't seem to care that he jumped down Bush's throat for having anything to do with defending Japan. This person also really was mindless of my feelings, in that my family is Japanese. I made a said to him, at that point, on this issue I admire him (Bush). Yes, I'm registered green party. Though I vote the best way I can... humanely.

I think there are a significant number of Democrats and like people who really just jump on the Bash Bush bandwagon and are lead like lambs. There is an unintelligent side to American politics. The American side of "American politics". Yes, that includes me. Especially me. I paid in excess of $10,000 to Green Corps and the University of Montana to learn about American citizen politics, worked my tail off, and got slammed real hard for not being white. Even in the "Liberal corps". Yes I understand what things are, what things aren't and choose to try and save my butt the best way I can. however, I have gone for 31 years trying to fit into a society that only harms me because I'm not white, I'm Half Japanese and they attach their own jealous sentiment to how they treat me, thus adding to the misery. It is very difficult to live in a place where the people are rotten by nature; a festering pit full of chemically laden prunes that recirculate their diarrhea to refine their own level of rottenness.

That is today's opinion from this 1st generation American halvsie.

What they Really Mean...

Today; this morning in particular, I saw the morning talk news on television as I was leaving. Then some old = esteemed; glasses = nerdy/intelligent; grey= too stressed out
male said "The war is popular". I couldn't help but think...

"The War is popular"
The media is covering the War.

Samurai Modern Costume

Here's my interpretation of a Samurai costume from my closet...

Past midnight thoughts

Bush: U.S. will stop N. Korea nuke moves
WASHINGTON -
President Bush said Wednesday the United States would stop
North Korea from transferring nuclear weapons to
Iran or al-Qaida and that the communist regime would then face "a grave consequence."
Web reference: AP article on Yahoo! News, Bush: U.S. will stop N. Korea nuke moves

This article headline seems quite difficult to pull of. It is known that there is al-Qaida presence in China as well as other parts of Asia. It seems to me that there woul most likely need to be a hand-off of missiles and weapons from N. Korea, to China, and through. Many people in China have behavior much like Americans. That being "need to make money, will do whatever they can get away with". So, how in the world does the U.S. plan to punish anyone. It seems that U.S. presence in Vladivostok is necessary to some extent for monitoring purposes. Since the U.S. was forced out of China there is less monitoring that can be verified by U.S. sources. China and Guangzhou, China are still creating affordable assault planes that are up for sale.
It is difficult to understand how the U.S. plans to implement any form of punishment on North Korean war-like actions without bombing the crap out of them.

N. Korea going for the Jugular

go for the jugular to make an attack that is intended to be highly destructive and conclusive (informal)
Website Reference: http://encarta.msn.com/dictionary_/jugular.html

An Ear in the Russian Maritime area near Vladivostock died this morning. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Rasa Theory like Buddhist approach may not save him or his peaceful motivations. "Aesthetic is secondary to whatever public sentiment is." from Buddhism in Performance. There is some major crap happening in too many segments of Japanese conventional functioning. How in the world is Shimokitazawa going to become a clear path in time for any Impending Nuclear Missile attack? Tokyo has a population of 12 million, without a major straight roadway designed through it. Evacuation seems difficult. Though, most of the Japanese cities built after the war are designed for major ordeals.

Military & Family

You can remove the family from the military.
You can't remove the military from the family.

Vladivostock & North Korea

"These steps aim to bolster
North Korea's national security and do not threaten neighboring states,
including Russia," the North Korean diplomat said.

website reference: Interfax at http://www.interfax.com/3/203865/news.aspx

Vladivostock has been a long standing end to the Russian Oil pipeline.
It is virtually inaccessibly by any military force. It is nestled at the border of North Korea and bearing off China's north eastern most border. China alone stands the most to gain by protecting the existing and neighboring oil supplies.

China, India, North Korea, Japan, Missiles

It's just my opinion; I think that North Korea is going for the ears first; creating a racket and driving everyone crazy with paranoia. Then, they'll drive it down the jugular like a pressure hold or a gun pointed to the throat. I don't know where this will leave Japan; or, if N. Korea is the tool of China to push the pressure at Japan and then make them move. China's already made motions to cut off shipments and manufacturing of Japanese goods and food supplies. Most of Japan's food is imported from China, Australia, and other nearby nations.

The North.Korean ships that are being checked are another major concern for weapons and military movement. This is in addition to the checks that the Chinese military have upped on the N. Korean vessels. see article: Australia to ban N. Korean Ships

I understand that the Oil that was found and negotiated a little over 1 year ago is of major value to China; and they really don't want to be giving anything to Japan. And, that includes chopsticks. If the Chinese adopted Japanese chopstick styles, there would be more than enough bamboo to go around.

Additionally, India's close ties with china and their aggressive business presence may compromise any U.S. negotiations with current U.S. public opinion. Many people in the U.S.A. are extremely upset with the number of jobs leaving the U.S. for places like India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka in the tech sector for outsourcing. Cutting off our ears first, indeed.

Attack on Sri Lanka military convoy kills 92

'Threat to the peace process'
The attack comes as a Japanese envoy held talks with the Sri Lankan president Monday amid intensified diplomatic efforts to strengthen the peace process between the government and rebels ahead of scheduled talks between the two sides later this month in Switzerland.

Another quotation from CNN World

The surge in violence comes as Sri Lanka faces increasing international pressure to return to the negotiating table.

Japanese peace envoy Yasushi Akashi was scheduled to hold talks with rebel leaders in the north Wednesday, according to The Associated Press.

I think that the release of the 24 million USD to Korea is a good move on part of the U.S. In theory, it should take some of the pressure off of the Nuclear threat. The bad part is that the Missiles seemingly exist. And, the money can be used to further fuel their troops. Humanitarian aid is essential to North Korea's survival. North Korea would be smart to invest that money in the Japanese economy. Investment isn't just a gift, it is a lifeline for those who are intelligent enough to make due with what they have. See below...

India, keen to present itself as a responsible nuclear power with a democratic polity, is worried that North Korea's move might scupper a civilian nuclear deal with the United States that was signed last year.

The agreement has been stalled in the U.S. Congress, which has to give its approval before President George W. Bush can sign it into law.

U.S. to Defend Japan

click on title for article
There is some positive news for Condoleezza Rice announcing today that the U.S. is ready to protect Japan from a Nuclear attack/ arms race developing in Asia. That the New Prime Minister Abe is totally advocating for a peaceful Japan, and to develop Japan as a global conference center for commerce.

More on a personal note; I am thankful to hear news like this. The majority of my family is in Japan; and N. JAPAN in particular. Places like Akita-ken where my Grandmother lives are directly across the Sea of Japan from North Korea. Though the Northern part of Japan has less population than the lower southern areas of Japan; if the northern parts become occupied by Koreans or Russians, then there will surely be more of an internal battle. Though, with heavy winter weather...haha... yeah it would be more like a Valley Forge military story. Not trying to make light of the situation; however the Kuril islands are still in dispute. There are old Navy military compounds that are still existing in those areas.

One of my Great Uncle' was a political prisoner in Sibera and told me stories about how they had to survive siberian prison camp. News about North Korea puts me on edge, like an impending huge hurricane or 7.0 earthquake. Once things change, it is very difficult to restore anything to a normal state.

The news about North Korea also bothers me due to the newly found oil territories in the Sea between Japan and China. Last year in July, Koizumi, prevented the onset of a war with China over the oil reserves. If North Korea has any goals to move forward and create an economy for themselves, they will most likey instigate further attacks on Japan. China will be the big sleepy giant in this battle. I would hope that the new P.M. Abe can keep North Korea cooled off

Google Earth images...

My Quick Review of Google Earth...

I just paroozed the planet. And, I discovered that there are mountainous areas that Google Earth does not have building info or high resolution imagery. Those places include; areas of Northern Japan where my Obasan & family lives. The input data did not have prefecture information on several locations. Also, the Ithaca, NY area was quite blurry. Though, Ithaca is where the clouds go to die.

I was impressed to see the University of Montana; but couldn't quite make out the Milltown Dam though, I saw the Marker for BFI where my group did our landfill recyclables study (see photo)and I spoke at my 1st official press conference at 21 years old. And... the M! I was not totally suprised, but happy to see the M again! Much Thanks Google Earth team!!!!

Addicted to Organizing

Addicted to Organizing

Some people here in the States are so suspicious and dull. I'm not talking about the Washington D.C. crowd. I mean the average Joe or Jane American who goes to work each day, flips on the 30 minute news spot and feels that's enough of the world for them for the day. Some people have an eclectic mix of Entertainment news; so they know how to look, how to act, who to talk about because they wouldn't be able to relate to each other without their entertainment.

I suppose I've had a little too much organizing experience; and I’m addicted to it. Yes, the grassroots organizer style of "talk to everyone and learn from everyone". Who's really doing what, what their ideas are and what's really going on in our local towns and at a National level? And 'Whew!' is it ever time consuming. It's the unpaid information system of how people interact. Let's face it. It's the only independent news flow that goes unimpeded by commercial advertising. My reality is that, when I click on my Yahoo or MSN news and see a photo of a woman bearing body buffers and bling... I just groan. Those photos aren't the reality that makes the world go round' like it used to. Nor is it attractive. There are so many beautiful people in the world. Why doesn't everyone attractive get paid for a commercial photo as an extension of the "seeking a perfect mate online".

So, I'm addicted to organizing; talking to people in towns over the past 4 years... hearing travel stories, hearing about homeland bouts and how it's affected the Dating scene. It is far more interesting in the Big picture. America's gotten to big and people, like kids on Christmas, expect too much for the long haul. Like a golden apple that will never tarnish, the American Ideal is an illusory device that people keep pursuing. Yeah, it drives the economy and gives each of us more options than rubbing a couple of twigs together to tempt our taste buds for a tribe braised meal.
However, what is really going on out there? Does anyone know?

My green party stance that I adopted due to a lack of actual bio-regional behavior in politics makes me applaud the latest terrorist news from our Mr. President... George Bush. News on: Hardcore Interrogation of potential terrorist threat.

Music to Listen to...

Sean Ono Lennon's new "Friendly Fire"
This is a really appropriate & intriguing piece of work. even with a little Cirque du Soleil style acrobatics in it. I'm enjoying the process that has begun in my mind watching something made by someone who has some type of similarity to me...as I never feel like I connect mentally with anyone around me (if you've read the rest of this blog you'd understand a bit why; I've grown up Halvsie in a really mundane area here called Bucks County). ; that I really didn't think would affect me in anyway.

A story about New Orleans

Post Katrina New Hope;

I heard a story over 1 month ago; about the Katrina Disaster. The story; goes like this... from a guy with an Oceans 11 style biz. card named Larry Kullmin.
The people who had $300 to 500USD/Day drug habits were being shot by their drug dealers. The drug dealers were shooting their clients because they didn't have anything for them.

Strippers who disappeared never reappeared.

Someone said that maybe they should kidnap me. Though, there was a bust at some Oriental massage parlors who had kidnapped asian women working there. I am not one of them and, I'd love to sue the last school I worked at for Slander.

The end.

FCC Mobile Phone laws

From what I understand; even my neighbors across the street have a scanner to listen in on Mobile/cell & other phone calls; to pick up on the police radio.

And; from what I understand it's now illegal;
see the following sites:

unless they have a warrant;
for police to have scanners and listen to mobile/cell phone calls. That; the police stations are required to have new scanners that do not ? pick up on the mobile calls.

For some reason, this sounds a bit off. Does anyone know any further?

Bucks County Heroin Deaths

I am a bit upset with the following that I heard today....

That a week ago some local Doylestown kids died from taking Heroin. @ 19years old.
And, that some of the young adult dealers were being let off by the police; despite the fact that they were caught with bags of heroin. And, that it happened several times. Apparently, someone put a fetynal in the mix and it puts people into comas nearly immediately. It's really sad.

Found an article about 5 deaths here since Jan.

Though, I expect that the usual will happen; that the major dealers will get off with a bargain with the judge for a payment in excess of 25,000 USD. The dealers will continue to deal and do their thing. It's so miserable.
People just don't get it; that the dealers and distributors move into a new and "naive" area, and essentially pull the bottom out on the town or locale. Like posing Mortgage brokers to run a scam and purchase property, get people to buy, pull out the equity through purchase of their "goods". The Govt. really doesn't give a ff because they invariably get a cut of it before it's too late. Yuk.

And, in the case of the kids/ YA's- I heard that the doctor's wouldn't accept them for rehab...even with Health insurance. I'm guessing the type of doctors I've heard about who , before taking the oath, they are dealing tons of drugs to pay for their degree ...

What a rotten thing to hear. Aside from the fact that there isn't decent help in the county inside a 100 mile radius. (make that 190 miles).

Many homes in Bucks County are up for sale; and I have heard from some people that they can't get the money that they paid (on the negative side) for their homes .

Additionally; There is a new 1 year old library in Quakertown with an internet cafe. And, there have been renovations performed in Doylestown location in the past week. I wonder how this is due to the Library funding cuts since 9-11 in Philadelphia and surrounding regions.

A diary note

I realize that many of the People who reside in my surrounding community, that is less than 100,000 people, do not accept me. It has gone as far as being my physically being attacked in public, receiving broken items of mine in the mail, my car being broken into numerous times, items that I purchased (not inexpensive - like my glasses) being stolen, being told by other teachers/ collegues that I should become a prostitute; despite my daily professional dress in suits and like professional wear. All of which wouldn't happen if I were to retain a position with a reputable and diverse corporation. I have barely been hanging on financially. And, yes my life has been threatened. My independent charitable work has been squandered by other individuals including non-acceptable reprints in the newspapers where other organizations take credit for all of my work; and I get stiffed with the bill. I realize that the world isn't fair, however, they have decimated my person to no end. Many of the progressive minded people left the area last election because they could not take anymore. I have not made any money here in Bucks county; and, they have reported false incomes for me in several townships where I do not reside, nor have ever. Additionally; Many of the businesses that I have interviewed with or worked for claim their diversity because of their ability to hire Russians and that they retain minimal representatives of ethnic groups. They also slander me because of my name which sounds Celtic though, I am of 1/2 Japanese descent and look more Japanese.

This is what they call; good people, and they do everything in their power and ignorance to harm my life. They think that my Japanese family will send me money; when there are strict rules that they will not due to the further problems the people here will create in my life with more money in it. The same happened with my brother; everytime he made money through his jobs; someone would create a problem for that required funding a local lawyer. And, at one point I had to chip in too. Enough for now; vent over.

My thoughts on the Nation Today

Is it real? The 68.7Billion deficit that the U.S. has chalked up in the World? Not to mention the New defense budget. And then, how much has been sent the other direction out to the World; in addition to the Internal subsidies that the U.S.A. govt. gives to NGO's (non governmental organizations) to create more democracy.

Or is it fact that; as long as the U.S.A. has Trees and a paper supply...money can be printed by the U.S. regardless of what's in the Federal Treasury? and on which country's tab? I hear the cab drivers in Guanzhou, China are giving counterfeit out for change.

Nasa's retired shuttles seem like a new replacement of A.F. 1 so negotiations about the timeliness of Nuclear threats in N. Korea can be made face to face.
  • In 1999 people in Fl. were talking of the Infrastructure change plan for the U.S. that was set in place in the 50's and 60's. Yes, such a thing is pricey; and some of the older and top minds were stating, "People were only meant to live within a 15 mile radius; and not travel more than 5 by bike or foot."

? No money no problem; Just keep me alive. An' likewise to you.

Irradiated Spinach Here?

Quakertown, Pa , Bucks County, Race, Reality, Cobalt, Spinach, Halvsie, etc.

Homeland Security Issue; Yes, Definitely

Food is unsafe, and the area is teaming with terrorist representatives.

By Oko_ne

Many people do not understand specifically “Why” the past 3 to 4 years have been an absolute nightmare for me. I shall start with the primary issues of the area; 1. There is an Irradiation plant in Quakertown, PA. 2. The area is heavily racist and KKK/ White Supremacist based ideology is practiced.

So, I was raised here in Quakertown, PA. And, I returned here after finally having opportunity to leave a very bad relationship 1 year after completion of a B.A.. I actually had no idea that there was an irradiation plant here in Quakertown until I noticed the “No Cobalt for Food’ bumper stickers on cars here. This is unusual because normally; there are few “progressive minded” bumperstickers around. It was quite different from the Christian right fish or God or Eagles Football Team stickers.

Unfortunately; this irradiation plant has surfaced many very difficult issues in my personal life, including the loss of my brother. While alive, my younger, and only brother had a temporary work assignment at the Irradiation plant and he had told me that they, “Irradiate nearly everything you can think of.” After hearing this I was quite disturbed that he worked there at all since we are both of ½ Japanese descent and our mother battled a terminal cancer by the time I was in 1st grade. My little brother, then 23, only worked there for 4 days. He said his skull felt like it was vibrating, he felt like his teeth were going to fall out as he worked there, and that he really felt like it embodied an energy that he could only describe as death. He told me of the Homeland Security issues surrounding the place. And, that there is “Klan” here that want to use the Cobalt that is stored under the heavy water to make a bomb to use on Philadelphia. [“BTW; the Cobalt is under the heavy water so that if it blows; there is heavy water above it.”] (that statement did not make me feel safe). It was dismaying to hear the news as a 2nd cousin on my father’s side of the family who was running H.U.D. in Phila. for appx. $250,000.00/ year. Though I was happy to hear that Phila. Finally did job cuts out of financial needs…And, I really do feel for the people of Phila.; I understand my family quite well and where I rank with them due to my bi-racial genetic makeup. Me, I’m sitting here nearly penniless and unable to secure employment, which is part of why I blog.

The question about the area that I do want to answer is “Are there terrorists?”

The answer is yes, there are many representative known and armed terrorist groups lingering in the area. Here’s a small list of my horrible encounters that is big enough to cause problems for me, as I believe that my brother and I in particular are being used as scapegoats due to our Halvsie background.

· Irish Red Army

· Ku Klux Klan; and divisions thereof hiding behind the local churches; particularly Lutheran, and the Big Cavalry Baptist Church in Souderton.

· Militia from various areas; note just check truck for bumper stickers.

· World Tour/ The Walkabout yacht – the Portland crowd – though apparently bargained a job with the Feds so now they run sonar/ radar from the boat and make trips to Sri Lanka.

Unfortunately, I was only thinking of the recent spinach disaster at the supermarkets. As, many people who are concerned about their food want to know what is going on. One of my hypothesis (as I’m sure others have their own) is that the Spinach had increased contamination rates due to irradiation. Irradiation of food is known to “speed the growth of bacteria & fungus”. This applies to nearly all spices we use to flavor our food. As my little bro said, ‘They irradiate nearly everything you can think of.” With reference to the Quakertown, PA irradiation plant that has a nearby Logistics/ truck stop as a Hub for distribution. Regardless, you’re not going to find anything good at the Irradiation plant; especially not veggies.

And, I won't get into why this plant and the people around it are an even a bigger issue that has destroyed my life;

Yes, I have Kimono Shoulders

Over many years of having to live in the predominantly Caucasian east coast, I have suffered greatly. One of the things that I must vent is my dismay with the physical therapy department at the college in New York which I attended for my Undergraduate music degree for piano. I was on a 4.5 year track, and one day my teacher told me that my shoulders looked tightened up to him.

Here I must get into my physical construct of being half Northern Japanese particularly. My shoulders slope naturally. I do not have the typically square shoulder construct of my European ancestors. My shoulders to not break into solid horizontal lines at any point in my shoulder line; and my shoulders are shaped much more like a typical wire hanger that one receives from the dry cleaner. My shoulders are what my mother said are "Kimono Shoulders". So, under my professor's instruction I went to the Musicians clinic at the PT department where they tried to break down my natural sloping shoulders to match their own. They claimed, inreference to me ,that "[I] you have overdeveloped traps". It was quite painful. They used to ice my shoulders and then sink their hands into them and then used an ultrasound device on my shoulders. I felt bad all the way around.

My mother taught me that I have kimono shoulders after the humiliating ordeals I went through in Middle school and High school in Pennsylvania; to be fitted for choir dresses that had shoulder pads. There were at least 2 instances where the fitters made a public example of me and called all the women in the choir over to marvel and laugh at my "no shoulders".

I still don't understand why people expect me to look at them in over 31 years of intolerance and ignorance with a smile. I have tried my best. Next blog; Why I started an "animal rights group" and changed some of the food choices at my undergrad college....hint 'I was getting ill on the food they served' and was eating shojin ryori style for nearly a decade prior to college dining hall food.

Much Peace,

Work Books

Things are slightly better today.

I read the book "The Art of Happiness" by His Holiness the Dalai Lama , yesterday.
It is straightforward and practical. It definately beat out the book " What Would Buddha do at Work?" Though I appreciate the different approaches of each book.

Multicultural Asia Photos...

From Left to Right; Photo from the Dress rehersal ; Korea, Japan (that's me with the Obi- though I wore a wedding Kimono for the real show), Formal Kimonos; Manchurian dress, and Indian Dress.
I was going through some old photographs of some of the things that I did as a child.
This event at Pearl Buck Foundation was good for the few people who attended to see what some of the different traditional forms; and modern forms of dress of Asia are. BTW: I am not transracially adopted; My biological mother or nanny immigrated to the U.S. from Japan.

My brother and I together as kids

He was my best friend in this place. Especially for the first 80% or 17 years of my life.
We are both Halvsie; both endured school beatings; both endured racist treatment by the school and the school officials; both worked hard to make our parents happy. My brother's life ended last year... laying in a field dead, with a nearby shotgun, and no autopsy was done, and the police harassed me and harmed me that day... I still hate it here, the police, the racism, and all...

way to go!

Jigai desu yo...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jigai

Living in U.S. white Society as a Haafu

I am quite weary for my unusual life punishment of :: death by bludgeoning by 100,000+ white mindsets who never experienced Asia.

And, I am quite upset with people treating me ill based on their bubble worlds;;--bubble worlds where they construct their own notion of who I am, who my family is; what sick role they want to play opposite me...without regard to my actual family. It is in essence racism.
I am also of Japanese descent. I also was thinking about my brother's condition before he died; He had been working at an irradiation plant because it was what the Temporary agency assigned to him; people at his workplace 1 mo. before his death were calling him Ai Qaida due to hair growth on his face (commonly referred to as a beard); My brother's beard hid some of the skin that was falling off of his face from his work and exposure to chemicals and radioactive elements. My brother also had skin falling off of his hands. As a young person; my brother had severe allergies to huindreds of substances;..but white people here treated him poorly and said he was a drug addict. I have no knowledge; firsthand or otherwise of any of his drug use ...so, I cannot say that those words are/were true; though my brother said people forced him to "test" chemicals...as his work at Deon Beverages was coerced by my father and the community.

I personally am outraged with the entire community here. I am of Half Japanese descent and 1st generation here in this country. I also cannot afford to pay anymore caucasoid people all the money I have so that I am accepted as "educated" according to them; they are simply thugs. Additionally; I am humiliated with trying to bring cultural understanding to people who ultimately find racism and segregation an easy path; because it has eliminated options for my survival.

I live with someone now because I have no options; it is humiliating. And, i have no way to pay my own debts for my education and survival expenses which exceeded $10,000/ year in Gasoline ($3000), Additional room out of state ($3000) and therapy ($320+/ month). I cannot afford to live; I have little business left; and I have pursued some of a M.S.M. degree that has no advantage. I have not been able to find suitable investors; despite offers from Builder/developers, The original Buisness entrepreneur who started PeopleSoft, or Other Capital Entrepreneurs who have shown me no respect. My family values of my Mother's family are engrained in me; and, Noone I have met matches their standards.

Unless a suitable investor is present; I cannot justify trying to work in conditions like my brother did ( I am highly allergic to many buildings here in the States; and cannot tolerate chemicals in the air--much like any K-Mart or Wal-mart for any period over 20 min. I experience respiratory irritation and itchy red eyes from the environment.

The people here choose to be belligerent; And; the issue of my "mixed-race" is too complicated for them to comprehend. I have little funds to leave the area and then no money to afford a safe and respectable-of-my person place to live. Men make it very clear if i don't comply with their sexual advances; that I have no place to stay;...though I have found some support from an ex where he does leave me alone (I despise the fighting).

These are my reasons for not wanting to continue; And, my family in Japan has their ties with the Govt. and with the addition of my Aunt and Uncle Takenaka...of yes...the family lineage (and ex Ceo of the Takenaka Corporation) who built the Imperial Palace and the Tokyo Tower, as well as skyscrapers in California and other places in Asia.

I hope that you all understand how I feel; in some part.
My political U.S. activist training has additionally contributed to much additional abuse from my Father's family and local government here in Bucks County.

At the onset of my life; I was instructed that i exist here for other's to learn from; and to be an example of Japanese culture to the extent that I could (as a child). As an adult I learned about the U.S. political system and learned and participated in changing some laws. Today; I am being chastized for my entire being.
I have grown to hate and despise many of the people who I encounter here in Pennsylvania. And, I realize that they may try to take my life; as they have been attempting over the past 3 years;; actively.
my spirit is tired of this.

I want you to know that I did try my best; and I'm not going to pay to learn Buddhism from another caucasian because I'm unacceptable to them.

Much Peace,
Angela

Sharing Culture with The PA Deutsch

In Elementary School I was the only kid with summertime brown skin. I remember going to elementary school and being teased and beaten up every recess by 5 girls who hated my skincolor. The aides on recess duty used to standby and watch me being beaten by other kids; swung by my hair and pushed into the dirt. The teachers and recess duty aides never interfered.

It became such a problem that they asked my mother to come into class and try to teach the children for 1 day; something about Japan. I remember each year; for 2 years; my mother visited my class and showed them Japanese writing and wrote their names in Japanese.
I remember that these kids returned home and showed these things to their parents. The following weeks became more brutal to me at school. Several of the children were instructed by their families that Japanese people were bad. I was brutalized more at school; despite my natural born American citizen status. Just so they could play their own political game. These Children who beat me or assisted or approved are now adults and parents in the same community; as well as others. It has been 18 years since then; things have not improved.

Learning about Tofu

My mother immigrated from Japan in the late 60's. She did her best with raising me with Japanese values and food. I loved tofu, rice, and many other traditional japanese dishes. My involvement with Japanese food increased after she was terminally diagnosed with cancer. I had food and herbs from my Obasan to eat.

When I got into High school there was a blonde haired blue eyed girl who took interest in me. We only talked because I was vegan at that point in time. She decided that she would take me "under-her wing" and teach me all about tofu. She really taught me nothing but her arrogance. I kept my mouth shut in fear of being brutalized like i was so frequently on the playground. I imagine today that she still doesn't care about people; doesn't mind nuclear bombs; and she called herself an environmentalist.

Family Structure

Anyone ever wonder what it's like to be a 1st generation person in a politically defamatory country like the USA? Just a reminder; my family of Grandparents; Aunts; Uncles; and Cousins contributed greatly; through lineage and otherwise to build monuments in Japan as well as skyscrapers in California.

Man & Seagull - a [poem]

Man and the Seagull

by a.k.a. Oko_ne 1999

The Seagull said to the man,

“What is it that you hold in your hand?”

The man said to the seagull,

“I hold in my hand a shell, a snail and

a grain of sand.

The shell is for the snail to live

The snail a reminder of time

The grain of sand,

Life so small,

made the shell

and the beach on which I stand.

Reminders of life are what I hold in my hand.

The Seagull said to the man,

“I carry no shell, or snail or grain of sand. Why is it that you hold such things in your hand?”

The man said,

“I carry such reminders to keep in mind,

Where I have come from ,

and what I do not understand.”

Diversity training needed for Small Businesses: Not necessarily about being Halvsie
I remember a short stint I served as a Personal Assistant. I, a Halvsie, was asked to call a temp agency and fill a work order to get some work done under contract. The employees the temp agency sent to fill the work order were African-American. I, a halvsie, was under contract with the company's owner. He, the company owner, screamed at me after locking himself in his workspace; -- yelling at me for the "color" of the work crew that was sent. As a contractor, i have no recourse in such an abusive situation to me because of someone else's racism. I cried alone at lunchbreak each day;-- my tears nearly filling the hour for the duration of that job.

Amer-Asian Mental Health Resources

I am beginning to compile some online references about Asian Health. I know that I am particularly sensitive to medications; and frequently cannot take prescription or any conventional synthesized medicaton/drug due to heightened side effects and sensitivity. The Toxicity testing performed on one race varies for those who are of mixed caucasian and non-caucasian racial background. Those who are of mixed race are more susceptible to the side-effects of prescription medication occuring immediately.
The Following is from the National Alliance on Mental Illness website pdf link below:

• Asian Americans require sensitivity when being prescribed medications as they may react differently
to the medications than other cultures, in terms of side effects and toxicity.
• The majority of Asian Americans seek alternative modes of treatment for illnesses. Some alternative
modes of care, such as herbal treatments, may interfere with prescription medications.
• Genetic alterations may cause differences in the metabolization of prescription drugs. Specifically,
many Asian Americans have a genetic alteration that decreases the metabolic rate of the
IID6 isoenzyme - which is responsible for metabolizing tricyclic antidepressants and many antipsychotics.
• Differences in body fat and diet may result in fluctuating responses to prescription medications.

my 1992 perspective

This paper was written by me in High School. I received acknowledgement of my 4th place standing at the local Young Optimists Club. I did not change/alter the writing or verbage as it was written for my H.S. teacher to read. Today I read this and find myself appalled by the title alone.

“FREEDOM; A RIGHT OR A PRIVILEGE?”

by

a.k.a. Oko_ne

1992

The Philosophical definition of freedom according to the Random House College Dictionary is, “the power to make one’s own choices or decisions without constraint from within or without.” Regarding “Freedom; a right or privilege?” it cannot be one without being the other. Being intangible, it has no definite form and has no limits, except those decreed by society. Therefore, it cannot stand as a right or privilege alone. Freedom also takes new form to suit each individual’s beliefs.

In the days of the pilgrims, freedom was the ideal that one could choose his own religion without prosecution. The people’s right to choose their religion was important, for it had great impact on their lives. However, religious freedom was constrained by the state and was only available to those prepared to risk their lives to obtain it.

About 150 years after the American colonies were established, came the writing of the “The Declaration of Independence.” This document contains several important statements about each man’s freedom. It asserted: -- “… That all men are created equal,… endowed with certain unalienable rights, …among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness…” These words served as an invitation to the many peoples that would come to America in search of their unalienable rights. Rights which they had to fight for in their newfound homeland.

Freedom is a right earned as a privilege. One example shown regards the American-black slaves. In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves with the Emancipation Proclamation. Although they were free, they were looked upon as inferior and incapable of handling their freedom. Therefore it was restricted by setting them apart from the rest of American Society. When the blacks voice their feelings, there were great uprisings in pursuit of their freedom being equal with that of the whites. This shows that freedom is not just given to one, but must be earned, and proof of one’s worth may be required.

The examples in the previous paragraphs showed what freedom meant to specific groups in the past. Today, freedom is a concern of the individual, and how one’s freedom affects another’s. In the issue of animal rights, I believe that each and every animal has the right to life. However, humans often consider animals inferior and violate their right to life through laboratory testing and hunting. In many ways, animals are treated by humans, as blacks in time past were treated by whites, an as the pilgrims were prosecuted by the Anglican church.

With regard to, “Is freedom a right or a privilege?”, one would have to say that, in essence, freedom is a right which must be earned as a privilege. It is something which must be fought for. If one is given this opportunity, it should be used to its fullest extent and should not be taken for granted.

New Hope To Lambertville Flooding

Photos taken Thursday @2PM at New Hope, PA

Top: The Inn at Lambertville Station: see between the Sculpted wood;-- parking garage is under water... (photos are from thursday's flooding prior to the swell from the Delaware River) .

Bottom: Bridge to Lambertville, NJ from the New Hope, PA right side of the bridge. See earlier blog entry photo for 1 day comparison.

Update from 8PM New Hope

  • Odette's is 50% consumed by water; no entry to the parking lot.
  • Water Works is 1/3 under water
  • Parking Garage is filled to 1st level and was spewing water
  • Water View is also 1/3 under water
  • downtown main street water levels rose; but not overwhelmed the businesses yet.
Despite the flood warning of 8ft swell at Trenton, NJ. It seems that many people may expect the 8ft. swell at New Hope, PA. Tonight's news showed the Lehigh Valley and a 35 ft. swell is on its way! There is another thing about New Hope, PA -- that the swell may be at least 19 feet and will reach the center of the road.

Much luck to all!!!

Delaware River Flood at New Hope/ Lambertville

a New Hope alley is enveloped by the Delaware River at 2PM

This is about the Flooding and 8 ft. swell on it's way to the Trenton, NJ dam. Ringing in at anticipated though appx. 21ft of flooding in New Hope, PA (a popular tourist attraction);-- Store owners were preparing for the swell of water prior to the 4PM evacuation deadline. Road Closed signs were being taken off trucks and moving trucks were parked in front of Downtown NewHope stores and Homes for the evacuation. This is to be "one of the big ones since the flood of 55'." stated one anxious, but calm store owner. He drew a line with his foot on the sidewalk where he expects the water to stop and tapped his food on the front stoop of his store, saying "that means up to here, up to here" and "...the last one was up to here." while moving things inside appx 3ft higher than the store's floor level.

Yesterday; I was on a shared drive up to Wegman's for some grocery shopping in Bethlehem.
The Flooding was Fierce by the bridges in the Lehigh Valley. The level of the River had risen approximately 13-15 feet from the normal level. Also, on the drive there was a canal that was dry as a desert ditch, though in creepy Kitnersville, PA. The Canal in Kitnersville area sat empty due to damage incurred from the last Delaware River Flood. The rain subsided here in Bucks County early in the morning; though the storm moved further North to the Lehigh Valley area. They are expecting a swell from the Lehigh area to move through the Delaware and be in the NewHope area by tomorrow afternoon. The waterway in Trenton, NJ is to be flooded approximately 8 feet over the floodline. And, there may be more area thunderstorms tonight.

Scroll down to see more photos/ snapshots from my after lunchtime break.

New Hope Flood @ 2PM June28, 2006

I stopped down in New Hope. After taking some snapshots of the canal I saw Mark helping out at the Three Cranes;-- where the owners and their family and friends were preparing their store for the flood. They are a Mixed- Culture Couple from the U.S. and Thailand. Intricate teak statues were moved to Safety while Buddha sat high upon the shelving stands. I took photos on a walk down Main street and near the Bridge at Lambertville.

Over the years I have also tried changing my appearances to become more acceptable to the average person in the U.S. who I encounter in my necessary and basic interactions for life. People definately react to me differently when they see me in clothing that I detest (though picked out by someone completely different from me-- and Caucasian). I have come to realize that people don't like me. They react to the image of my clothing (no matter how american countryside thrift store it looks). Though; I like asian designed clothes...I still have issues of the American company thievery in selling goods and not returning the money owed to Asia. But, i suppose it's better than the story I heard from a biz. owner here who had his goods made in Mexico 1st but who was also blamed for the factory burning to the ground. And then, the issues surrounding Asian sweat shops.
This progressed even to the point of my over zealous hair colorist bleaching too much of my long hair to look more like eveyone else here. (though I don't think I ever want that thick squareface look.) I do have a long list of product complaints that cost me several hundreds of dollars and caused more skin damage than good. I found 1 bottle of beNice and other Lion soap that works for my face. Basic Soap here is expensive and damaging to my bi-racial skin; aside from the fact that i'm allergic to apples and malic acid. Esolis even went out of Business...but was good for my skin...and showed positive results.

Freedom a Right or a Priveledge- 1992 paper

I first, must ask for forgiveness in the use of the language I used in this paper when I was 15 years old. Recently, I went though my old boxes of things to downsize. This was a paper I wrote and was awarded participation in a Young Optimists Club writing contest, during my senior year of college. As a teen; I had great difficulty writing such an objective article. Afterall, I was greatly psychologically chastized & physically brutalized by the members of the Quakertown community for my race. Today, I laugh about how I tried to express my thoughts so that I was acceptable to the same people who abused me for my color (as I would turn dark brown over the many summer vacations from school.) The paper follows below;

will be posted later due to technical difficulty.....

I gave it much consideration before applying. I am a halvsie; My largest fear is that they pass it over due to my very Celtic name my mother was forced to choose for me. Race and the Metrics of surviving in American Culture as a person of Half-Asian descent; the Case of a Halvsie

Unedited: to be revised last updated 6/21/2006; Mixed-Race, Bi-Racial, AREAL, Halvsie, Milk What?; Hapa; Haafu; Daaerubu;

Anti-Global Racism:
Racism that supersedes mapped boundaries

By: Angela M. Kneale copyright 1996
Journaled Notes from my own personal discourse:
Not supported by government and living in white communities; White Government has little to no support for people of mixed descent. They do not acknowledge the issue of a person of mixed-race who invariably encounters racism from many people of singular racial descent. This is a separate issue from parents in these communities who house trans-racially adopted children from non-white nations. This is not to say that all the parents are bad, or are mindless and un-thoughtful to their children. However, as a teacher who is of Asian descent; I have been immediately met with the words of some of these parents. Where;- they circumvent the polite practice of the basic “Hi, how are you?” and immediately substitute a very loud “What are you?”. It is very inappropriate to address a person of unknown racial background with a question one could only address to talking furniture.

The racism of the Environmental movement; white Caucasians learning to work with people from varying ethnic background; how people in America have take a Disney Song beautifully performed by Vanessa Williams, and turned the words if the song into a verification for the racist behavior embodied in the words, “You think the only people who are people, are the people who look and think like you.” from the Disney Song titled the Colors of the Wind.

While working the other day: I discovered that my employer/contracted work that I was; and made me of reference to my psychological thinking on my part; as if I was to share his brain, approach to life, etc.;- and when will people realize that my experience is not the same as theirs by a long shot; they won’t even give me the gift of having a job who here I am not harassed. They hear how Asian workers are treated on the news and seem to treat me in as similar manner because they feel that they are justified in their behavior, at least here in this state where I live.

In Thailand, there are too many people who do fester diseases that are STD’s. Much of the fear with protecting their family women is to keep them safe from the harassing and nagging presence of European men and American men. These are men who are infatuated with the idea of the exotic silent subservient devotee. These foreign men treat nearly all Thai women as prostitutes regardless of who the women are and whether these women are mothers and have a family and children.

My Ranting…..seamless….

Did anyone notice; does anyone care: is this country the U.S.A. and my supports are so poor in mindset, action, and economy that I cannot afford to visit my grandmother in Japan? No matter what I seem to do; someone is always directing their anger at me; they scoff at me and put me down; tell me how well they treat visiting Asians from other countries who are pure-breeds of race though not nationality; not me of ½ Asian descent. There is no fighting their lies; their constant Gemini persona; that I mean the society around me; the country side that I will refer to as the Great White American ghetto; it’s not the cities so much; where people are pressed against each other in close proximity on a daily basis; in the real melting pot of America; not in the countries w here people live like outlaws who have taken over the sheriff’s department; they lie; make up their own rules; discard federal law as well as many state laws; they then claim that hey are insulted by accusations of the introvert racism; that the accuser is the racist trying to blame someone white; they make it very clear that there is not enough here for them to share with people of other cultural background s an races; they devise their arguments in ways that keep the min control; which is why there is a state wide crisis; there are no longer funds to support life here in the even t o f a crisis; why there is reason grate of militia activity and out ward presence; they have stolen my identity and un around with my name and credit cards; I tried at one point to report the violence and harm that they caused to my person; they turned me away once they saw my color and made derogatory statements towards me in the process; they tell me I lie about possessing a degree-I live in a primarily undereducated area called Bucks County; where money is al that exists to the m and the fact that I even have a degree that I completed is not a believe able fact to the white man here; they are really deplorable; they compare me to someone who is more Asian looking on their white mindset; they are derogatory towards me most of the time; they do not respect me in anyway though I must perform; and I have grown weary of the daily ordeal of putting up with their attitude; even personal relationships seem not to harbor enough trust; they damage me, an then turn around and tell me that I damage myself with my attempts to utilize the laws on the books; I have lost all sense of safety here; I fear for my life daily; I have post traumatic stress disorder; it is no longer a joy to live; the people who are in my environment think that I was raised with no values; from my perspective; they are not any different than gunner city gang members; the only difference is the environment that they live in; that they control the law; one prime example is that of the suicide bereavement group; Coincidentally; the pastor who was at the Lutheran Church; St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richlandtown, PA the person who runs the suicide bereavement group in Bucks County; I remember many Sunday School Classes with him and hearing my little brother arguing with him; it was a church where we were humiliated in front of people for our color and race and Asian family values; that Pastor also lost his 2 children to suicide; In my mind this is not the type of person who should be running a suicide bereavement group In the mind of the people here; it makes him an authority. They say that I am insane and should be committed when they who are making such a call to not possess a quality College or University Education; they are not doctors; and then; they doubly call me absolutely a nut case for having a Jewish ’therapist”. They want to be famous in the most deplorable white neo-American-Nazi way possible; they enjoy knowing that they can walk around with guns and kill people; that this state called Pennsylvania; I raised my rates to keep away the all phone calls and scumbag advances on my person that the School is so trying to promote; they treat me worse than the garbage that they throw out on a daily basis; they do not put me on an employee payroll and pay me a normal wage on the books as a contractor; that is the only work that I have and did not have any health insurance or benefits nor can I afford to retain such things on my own; I figured it out one day; that I am paid less than a Mexican immigrant worker; I have more liabilities; and less to live on outside areas on able life with outside of a dumpster where I could hunt for food;

Problems With Women's Assistance here where I live

  1. Racially Discriminatory - against minorities; In Counseling; In their Thrift Store; lemme translate in a brief summary; Give you help to make you poor .
  2. The Thrift Store is next to the Storage facilities where most women would need to store things.
  3. Women at the thrift store are closed minded racists.
  4. Counseling is racially derogatory towards minority women; they do not allow you access to laws; and try to keep it out of the legal system until you're beyond repair financially and otherwise.
  5. Will not issue PFA even on police advise.
  6. Will not assist in filing sexual assault charges
  7. Do everything in their power to keep Caucasian men in power.
  8. Do not offer a safe-house when stalked; sexually assaulted; abducted; aggravated assault victim; and can identify the person.
  9. Person who is the attacker calls your "lawyer" obtained through the service and cuts a deal with her.
  10. You are left having to donate any and all belongings to the organization because you no longer have work or a place to live.

Minorities Moving to Suburbia: Give consideration

When Moving: Consider the Jurisdiction of the New Township:
For the Single Minority Female; For Family with minority Children.
(Unedited)

Angela “Oko_ne” Kneale

1. In instance of sexual assault… how do the police; legal services; Women's Support group; work for someone who is a minority in that town.

2. When a lawyer is hired; and a judge decides that it is because of the other person's culture that it is acceptable for them to sexually harass you (when you are a biz owner.) Case of the Asian Business owner; who is a female and who has a husband and children; Harassed on the sidewalk outside her business; and coerced to leave; sell, due to the actions that a neighboring Italian business (serving veal) took in order to create more legal problems for the woman.

3. Neighborhoods of Trophy wives are no good for young women; their men prey on the single women; on your life; they single out minority women especially; because they are non-white and are typically easy to destroy in the workplace, professionally, and publicly in predominantly white areas. Police do not assist in any manner that takes time away from their other duties; because there is little chance that anything will happen to the perpetrator or assailant due to the fact that securing a supportive non-racist jury will be possible.

4. The Law" of the white then transfers to your children in school and elsewhere; parents rarely stand up for their children because they will be affected in their work for 'being a problem" or viewed as "someone with an attitude. Even with legal involvement; there is no Supreme Court hearing if it cannot get beyond the local level.

5. No matter how good a student the minority child is in a homogenized race environment; there will be other students; and faculty who will cause the student to fail.

6. Selecting a therapist from your insurance plan who is unbiased. Unlike people from the city where there is more diversity;
The Suburbs are a difficult place to find an unbiased therapist; where their religion; their racist tendencies--whether deliberate or not will shine through in your therapy sessions; and then; you are diagnosed crazy and unsuitable for work…This is not to say that the therapist who is of one race or another is necessarily racist. It is to say that there are many people who are Caucasian from racist backgrounds who infiltrate all walks of life. They carry these beliefs with them in their professional conduct. The same people use their children to make examples of teachers and other minority "role models" And intense period screening families and clients for the minority professional is suggested, though with a fee. You must make sure that there is some precedent to taking on white Caucasian clients who are not going to walk in and destroy your business; this writer took the advice of 1 person who ran the organization; and; -- upon meeting the host family and seeing the environment was extremely skeptical of the person's intent;; That person when allowed in the group cost the contractor teacher more than $1500 and mental damage from her abusive and racist standpoint. Advice from the writer; trust yourself; don't trust what other people who are Caucasian have done for you.

7. Legal Services in the event of Sexual Assault: Read above.

8. Also; as a minority female; remember we look particularly young for our age (in comparison with our Caucasian peers). Be careful and try to avoid areas with a high rate of adoptee who are trans-racially placed; I will relate one unfortunate instance where I was at an Art Museum with the Artistic Director and her Husband from a client school of mine. The Artistic Director was approached by someone at the museum who commented on how I was such a beautiful adoptee. This created issues with the artistic director and I. That School became a non-client, rather rapidly, due to the ensuing ill behaviors of the Artistic director who later influenced the Executive Director about my new 'child' status. That was 4 years ago, and today, I am 31.

9. I, the author of this article live in an area where:
  • I must spend a day in Philadelphia (appx 60 miles 1 way + parking) to get in the door of the EEOC Equal opportunity Commission.
  • I must spend another day or more; trying to secure time to leave my place of employment to have time to file a complaint.
  • The local Human Rights commission office for Bucks County; Buckingham township; Richland Township is in Philadelphia (another County entirely)
  • It is known that the local Human Rights type agency for Human Rights Violations is more proud of the fact that they collect complaints than helpful in executing actual complaints on a federal level.
  • The Community is racially biased
  • The ACLU protects the Rights of the KKK (Ku Klux Klan) and other like-minded terrorist organizations.

My Mission Statement

Please post a comment if you agree. I have had this group since 1996.
about me: I am a haafu or Hapa of 1/2 Japanese descent. Japan is where my mother was born and raised into adulthood before moving to the United States against the wishes of her brother & sister and those who cared for her. I would rather be embarassed about my life, than dead by racist and hateful minds entirely. Ganbatte Yo!

Much Peace,
Oko_ne

PANGIa
Our Philosophy

We the members of Pangea believe that Animals have intrinsic value of their own and should not be reduced to human commodities. We believe that Animals have rights that are at least equal to those of humans in basic standing, and that Animals must be granted due action of these rights for their own preservation. These rights must also be respected and upheld.

We recognize that human industries which use animals or part of an animals, also promote the exploitation of humankind and our planet. These industries must be persuaded to halt their immoral practices and make progressive changes to uphold the integrity of our plant’s species and ecosystems.

Human Benefits
By acknowledging, respecting and upholding these rights, we humans will benefit from a healthier environment= (reduced moral, social and environmental degradation.)
